The tech never scores anything. They pick what is true, and every answer already carries its state and its weight.
A check that could sink her or burn her weighs ten. A torn bimini weighs one.
The score board
An owner or a buyer can check the math. Change an answer and watch the number move.
Held at Action required. Her aft bilge float switch is a critical item in Action. The number stays what she earned. The grade won’t call her healthy until it clears.

Lines it does not cross
It never grades a boat from a photograph.
The tech picks what is true. Condition is a judgment with liability attached, and no model makes it here.
A skipped check is never a Pass.
It leaves the math and prints as Not checked, so the report shows how much of her was actually checked.
One bad critical holds the number down.
A boat with something aboard that could sink her or burn her cannot show a comfortable score, whatever the rest of the points say.
